The flame visualization in the Dimplex Optiflame Prism 50 electric fireplace is created using the Optiflame technology, developed and patented by the manufacturer Dimplex.

The operating principle of this technology is based on a combination of LED lighting and a rotating drum with special blades. The light passes through openings shaped like tongues of flame and is reflected on the rear wall of the fireplace, forming a visual effect with greater volume.

In addition, the rear wall of the Dimplex Prism 50, onto which the flames are projected, features a mirrored finish. Thanks to this, the decorative crystals are visually reflected, increasing the perceived depth of the fireplace, while the flames appear to be positioned among the crystals. This creates a pronounced 3D flame effect that enhances the sense of depth and realism of the flame.

This function allows selecting the color of the LED lighting of the decorative crystals according to the desired atmosphere or interior style. Thanks to this option, it is possible to personalize the visual appearance of the fireplace, creating a warmer, neutral or contemporary visual image.

Flame brightness adjustment

Flame brightness adjustment allows visual control of the effect intensity depending on ambient lighting conditions or personal preferences, ensuring comfortable viewing both during the day and at night.

The Dimplex Optiflame Prism 50 electric fireplace is equipped with an integrated electric heater with a thermostat, allowing the desired temperature to be set and automatically maintained. In this way, the fireplace maintains a comfortable room temperature and ensures more efficient energy consumption.

The heater output is 1.3 kW, allowing it to heat rooms of up to 20 m². The heating function operates independently of the flame visual effect and can be activated or deactivated according to user preferences.

Thanks to the use of LED lighting, the Dimplex Optiflame Prism 50 electric fireplace features low electrical energy consumption.

In flame display mode, the power consumption is only 0.03 kW/h. This means that to consume 1 kW of energy, the fireplace requires approximately 35 hours of continuous operation.

In heating mode, the power of the electric fireplace is 1.3 kW/h, comparable to that of a conventional electric heater. However, thanks to the integrated thermostat, the heater does not operate continuously, but is activated only to maintain the set temperature, which helps reduce overall energy consumption.

Installation aspects

The installation of the Dimplex Optiflame Prism 50 (BLF5051) electric fireplace is very simple. The fireplace is installed directly into a previously prepared niche.

Air intake during operation in heating mode is carried out through ventilation openings located on the front panel, above the flame visualization area, allowing the fireplace to be installed in a closed niche.

As the fireplace body does not heat up during operation, it can be installed without limitations in furniture or wooden structures. The warm air outlet is directed to the front, which allows a television to be safely placed above the fireplace.
