Dimplex Engine 68-400 Pro Opti-Myst is an electric water vapor fireplace with realistic flame visualization, created using the patented Opti-Myst ® technology developed by Dimplex.

How does Opti-Myst work?

In Opti-Myst electric fireplaces, the flame visualization is created by illuminating water vapor, which is generated using an ultrasonic vaporizer.

Dimplex Engine 68-400 Pro Opti-Myst is equipped with an integrated electric heating fan located in the upper part of the unit. The heating power can be adjusted in two levels — 1 kW or 2 kW. The electric fireplace also features a built-in thermostat that automatically maintains the selected room temperature, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate. Thanks to this system, the heating does not operate continuously but switches on and off as needed, contributing to more efficient energy consumption.

The heating operates independently of the flame visualization and is activated by the user as required.

Anti-frost function (+7 °C)

The electric fireplace automatically maintains a minimum temperature of approximately +7 °C, preventing excessive cooling of the space and protecting it against frost.

Flame intensity regulation

This function allows adjustment of the vapor output intensity, controlling the density and realism of the flame effect. This makes it possible to adapt the visualization to different lighting conditions and create a more authentic and immersive atmosphere.

Weekly programmable timer

Allows programming the on and off operation of the electric fireplace for each day of the week, adapting its operation to the daily routine and helping to save energy.

How much does an electric water vapor fireplace with heating consume?

In flame visualization mode, the energy consumption is only 0.18 kW/h. This means that to consume 1 kW of electricity, the electric fireplace requires approximately 5 hours of continuous operation. In heating mode, the heater consumes 1 kW or 2 kW per hour, depending on the selected power level.

The installation of the electric water vapor fireplace with heating Dimplex Engine 68-400 Pro Opti-Myst is very simple. The fireplace is installed directly into a pre-prepared niche and, if necessary, can be additionally secured with screws to the side walls of the niche.

During operation in heating mode, air intake is carried out through the ventilation grilles located at the front, above the decorative log set. The warm air outlet is also directed forward, so a TV or shelves can be safely installed above the fireplace.

For proper operation of the vapor generator, an additional air supply is required. When installing the fireplace in a closed niche, it is necessary to provide ventilation openings to ensure adequate air circulation.
