Dimplex Optiflame Firebox XHD 26 is part of the Dimplex XHD range of electric fireplaces, available in three sizes. This model is the mid-sized option and is characterized by an elongated design with a lower height compared to other models in the XHD range.

A distinctive feature of the Dimplex Optiflame Firebox XHD 26 is the ultra-realistic representation of the decorative logs, thanks to which the fireplace maintains a very authentic appearance even when it is turned off.

The flame visualization in the Dimplex Firebox XHD 26 electric fireplaces is created using Optiflame technology, developed and patented by the manufacturer Dimplex.

The principle of this technology is based on a combination of LED lighting and a rotating drum with special blades. The light passes through openings shaped like tongues of fire and is reflected onto the rear wall of the electric fireplace.

Thanks to this system, the flame effect appears lively and dynamic, giving the impression that the fire “comes to life” and moves naturally inside the fireplace, creating a warm and highly realistic atmosphere.

Glowing ember effect

The distinctive feature of the Dimplex Firebox XHD 26 electric fireplaces is their high-quality decorative log set, handcrafted and extremely realistic in appearance. Unlike more affordable electric fireplaces, Dimplex decorative logs feature a high level of detail, with precise attention to color tones, texture, and surface structure.

This creates the effect of partially burned logs, very close to the look of real firewood. In addition, the logs include integrated LED lighting that gently flickers and produces an authentic glowing ember effect.

Combined with the flame visualization, this system delivers a highly realistic fire effect and creates the cozy atmosphere of a genuine wood-burning fireplace.

Flame speed adjustment — allows you to modify the dynamics of the fire movement, making the flame softer and calmer or more intense and expressive. This function makes it possible to adapt the visual flame effect to your mood, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Flame brightness adjustment — allows precise control of the fire’s light intensity, enhancing the visual impact of the fireplace or, conversely, making the flame softer and more discreet.

Selection of the log lighting color — allows you to change the tone of the lighting of the decorative logs and embers.

Heating function with temperature control (integrated thermostat) — allows you to maintain a comfortable room temperature through precise heat adjustment. The integrated thermostat automatically controls the operation of the heater, ensuring efficient and economical use.

The heater output is 1.5 kW, sufficient to heat rooms of up to 25 m².

The heating function is activated only when desired by the user and operates independently of the visual flame effect.

Warm air is discharged to the front through the openings located above the flame display screen.

Shutdown timer — allows you to program the automatic switch-off of the fireplace after a specified period of time.

Power consumption

Thanks to the use of LED lighting, the Dimplex Optiflame Firebox XHD 26 electric fireplace is characterized by very low energy consumption.

In flame display mode, the power consumption is only 0.007 kW/h. This means that to consume 1 kW of energy, the fireplace would need approximately 140 hours of continuous operation.

In heating mode, the electric fireplace operates at 1.5 kW/h, similar to a conventional electric heater. However, thanks to the integrated thermostat, the heater does not run continuously; it activates only to maintain the set temperature, helping to reduce overall energy consumption.

Control of the Dimplex Optiflame Firebox XHD 26 Multi-Fire electric fireplace (XHD26L-INT)

The Dimplex Optiflame Firebox XHD 26 electric fireplace is supplied with a remote control and also features a touch control panel integrated into the fireplace body.

To activate the touch control panel, simply slide your finger across the surface. If the panel is not used for a period of time, the lighting switches off automatically.

Installation aspects

The installation of the Dimplex Firebox XHD 26 electric fireplace is very simple. The fireplace is inserted directly into a previously prepared niche and, if desired, can be secured with screws to the side walls of the niche.

During operation in heating mode, air intake is carried out through the ventilation openings located at the rear of the fireplace. For this reason, it is necessary to leave a minimum clearance of 1.5 cm between the back of the fireplace and the wall of the niche to ensure proper air circulation.

Since the fireplace does not heat up during operation, there are no special requirements for the material of the niche.
